Activist Faisal Khan booked for offering namaz inside Mathura temple

Khudai Khidmadgar, leader and renowned social activist Faisal Khan has been booked by Mathura Police for allegedly offering Namaz inside a temple. The incident took place at Nandbaba Baba Mandir in Nandgaon area on Thursday.

According to Faisal Khan, while he was inside the Mandir on his communal harmony mission, it was time for him daybreak prayer. I thought to offer the prayer there itself. It was then that chief priest who allowed us to offer the prayer.

Police have registered an FIR in the case against Chand and Faisal along with two others on the complaint filed by Mukesh and Shivraj Goswami.According to reports a case has been lodged against them under section 153 A (Promoting enmity between groups on ground of religion and race ) and 295 ((destruction, damage, or defilement of a place of worship or an object held sacred, with intent to insult the religion of a class of persons)), and 505 (intent to incite, or which is likely to incite, any class or community of persons to commit any offence against any other class or community).
